Spirit power

A mage can commune with a powerful spirit paired up with the required skills an knowledge. Spirits are ancient powerful entities living in the fade amongst demons, thus many are sceptical if a mage uses spirit power. Spirits are often mistaken for demons and the use of blood magic since they both come from the same plane of existence. The mage functions as a gate, and literally brings the fade into the mortal realms of middle-earth. Demons are capable of of granting power the same way as spirits, so a demon can fool mages into believeing they are kind spirits, and wreck havoc on middle-earth if given the chance.

To gain spirit powers a mage must allow the spirit to use the mage as a host. This bonding leads the mage to become one with the spirit, and the spirit can fuel its powers through the mage. The mages eyes will burn blue as the spirit awakens. On higher power levels the supernatural features grow, and can even cover the mage in blue flames.

The host can sense the spirits emotions such as angere, hate, sorrow and joy. With a greater power level the mage can begin to hear the spirits thoughts, and nearing the peak of the bond a mage can communicate with it.

After the bonding the magery levels are empowered by the spirit and are called spirit power instead, and functions as a hybrid between mager and power investiture. To activate the spirit the character uses alternate form. The form can contain many supernatural advantages that a given spirit is able to grant the host.
