The god of justice, father of winter

Israfiliel was among the Valari that valued justice the most. Alinthur, the god of chaos was imprisoned for his lust for destruction, and Israfiliel stood patiently watch over him, and made sure he stayed put for an whole age. Israfiliel was opposite in relation to Alinthur`s chaotic nature. Alinthur`s hate for the guardian angel grew for each passing millennium, and yearned to see the guardian in agony. Aided by Morgoroth (God of corruption) Alinthur eventually got his revenge, and slew Israfiliel as he was many times greater in raw physical power. But Israfiliel did not perish, instead he became something else than the radiant being he once was.

Being drained for all life, Israfiliel`s remains lay dorment. The area around him, where he had lingered for so long, fueled his corpse with the freezing cold, a chill that mirrored his stubborness and vigilance. A winter spread throughout  the void and Middle-earth, as he rose from the frosen earth, marking his rebirth. He no longer commanded the celestial powers he once possessed. Instead he watches for any signs of the God of Chaos, waiting to imprison him again, serving justice. A domain with the air and the dead. Dead too, is the sound and motion - Blunted by the callous winter twilight. Alinthur`s second sentence would not be as pleasant, the sting of bluing chill will see to that.
