Middle-earth

There was a time when the world was slowly plunging into darkness and chaos. A time with witchcraft and sorcery. A time where nearly none stood against evil.

The beginning
Aru Ilúvatar`s first creation was the angels called Valari. Together he and the angels created the universe with their "music", and finally Middle-earth.

The Timeline of Middle-Earth Comput10

The First age: The Age of Stars

Maül, The Smith, forged and formed the landscapee with his music, and created the dwarves. Later, Aru created the Men, and they were called the Children of Ilúvatar. Murnandih`l created the elves. Animals and plants were fashioned by Ylvanna. The mighty Griffins were created by Amun, The Elder King. Ylvanna also created the Ents as protectors of the world. The deities created each of their own races and presented them before Aru. Aru being the true god, accepted their creations and granted these races sapience. With sapience they were able to live free-willed and not just mere mindless creatures. Amun finally created the Silmarils as a token of the radiant beauty and purity the Two World Trees represented.

Melnikor`s downfall

The Holy One Melnikor, the most powerful of all the Ahnur, had an equal amount of hate and jealousy. The races that his siblings created where "approved" and made sapient by Aru`s will and power. Melnikor believed that with this action the races which his siblings created where never truly theirs. Melnikor wanted his creations to be his and not his fathers.

To make life become sapient one needs the imperishable flame of Aru, and Melnikor stole the brazier containing it. He gave his creation, the greenskins, sapience by his own doing with the flame. But his actions was motivated by jealousy, hate, anger and selfishness. These became the virtues of his race of orcs and goblins. Melnikors taint grew within him, and it did not take long for him to become engulfed with his lust for more power. The imperishble flames made him stronger than before, and later he decided to take the Earth for himself as high king. He thought for himself that he should rule, as only he where bold enough to take matters into his own hands. Things needed to change.

Melnikor stole the Silmarils, Amun`s greatest creation, and they provided him with enough power to claim Middle-Earth under his rule. He commenced his plans by freeing Alinthur, the god of chaos, in exchange for helping destroying the Valari`s source of light, two world trees. Melnikor`s rage was great, but were still easily surpassed by Alinthur`s frenzied nature. It was not difficult to convince Alinthur to join in the coming war.

War of Rage

Amun, and several angels decided to confront his brother Melnikor to have him judged for his acts of evil. A great battle took place as nearly all of the Valari engaged Melnikor. In the following events much of the world was marred by the conflict between all of the Valari that battled Melnikor. Alinthur, the temporary ally of Melnikor, disappeared in the fray shortly after the final battle took place. He left to slay the guardian angel Israfiliel as revenge for keeping him imprisoned for an whole age.

The Timeline of Middle-Earth Maaaaa10

Tulkanos, who were one of the last angels to enter Middle-Earth — tipped the scales of battle and were able to defeat Melnikor with the combined power of all the Ahnur. Maül created Angarnor, "The Chains of Melnikor" to subdue Melnikor`s powers. In the aftermath, he were judged by Murnandihl, which renamed him "Morgoroth, The Black Foe of The World" for his crimes against creation. Then Morgoroth was exiled into the void.

Morgoroth`s exile marked the end of the first age.
A beginning for the mortal races.

The Second age, The Age of Elves
The chaotic energies that spawned from the War of rage nearly teared the planet apart.  In response Maeldun, Lord of Evocation, entered Middle-earth to save it from destruction. Maeldun took control of the storm and calmed its anger.

As Morgoroth were cast away it was time for the races to prosper. Now that the World Trees were destroyed there were not enough light to sustain the angel`s precense. And so the gods crossed over to the land of the Valari Amaril, and were forced to leave Middle-earth`s fate into the hands of the mortal races. This was now the Age of Elves. The elven druids and ents roamed the earth, nourishing and guarding it. The dwarves dug deep into the ground in search of Middle-Earth`s treasures from below, while the humans lived off the land scattered around as primitive tribes.

The high elves were summoned by Murnandil to leave for Amaril as well. The Valari was soon gone, and Murnandihl said the taint of Morgoroth were too great for the elves to survive. Many of the elves stayed behind to aid Middle-earth spite their creator`s wish. Angry with the disobedience of his own creation he cursed the remaining elves, relinquishing their immortality and much of their powers.

Many of the remaining elves were lost into darkness as a result. The first war between the elves took place as Morgoroths legacy began to rise. His evil lingered as a foul taint upon the wind, and breathed life into unspeakable horrors in the darkness below the surface. The corrupted elves lost the battle, as high elves, men and dwarves united together against them, and chased them underground. These elves were known as dark elves. A name given by the last Star elves that left Middle-earth shortly after.

The greenskins were a divided race, and were no major threat. As the other races began to prosper, the orcs began to increased their terretories and draw new borderlines for each advance. The human population grew, and continued to expand their domination. Many wars followed between the humans and the greenskins. One of the factors that ensured victory was the dwarves discovery of the first mithral veins close to earths core below Silfdo´marr, Mithral Mountain to the noth west of Barbandos. Silfdor Ilkaurr (Mithral halls) were build in this mountain to serve as a symbol of the dwarves craftmanship, and their victory in stopping the orc invasion from western Barbandos.

The Third age: The dark ages
The elves endured the curse of their creator Murnandih`l, but they became a scattered people. Many of the humans became corrupted by Morgoroth`s taint as well, and they waged war against the outnumbered and unprepared elves that occupied Eledar. As a result most of the elves were driven to the south into Egaroth or taken as slaves. The vigilant humans hailing from Eldorin aided the fleeing elves, and helped them salvage what legacy and knowledge they could.  With the humans dominating the Eastern Kingdoms, the elves are determined to regain their lost kingdom and restore it to its former glory some day.
